Fred Bear??
How do archers like Fred Bear and Ben Pearson become people like Fred Bear and Ben Pearson? They are both role models for me and I am just wondering how they got where they are(or were). Did they start a shop or…I have no clue I will let you answer. Thanks!
Fred Bear began to make his own bows and equipment under a guy named Art Young. He then began to make equipment for a growing group of friends, and got so busy he started the company. He won the MI state archery championship a few times and the rest is history.
Ben Pearson had basically the same story-he made his first bow from instructions in a Boy Scout book. Later he won the state archery contest and started an archery equipment company-he got started in a bigger way than Fred Bear and started mass production almost right off the bat.
